In this project I saw the paper and then needed to find it a home. I should have realized the scope of the cut work. The top two rings have 48 cuts. In total there are over 150 cuts (averaging 3 minutes per cut) with each void in direct communion with its neighbor. No squiggly lines to hide an error or mis-cut. Well, the paper looks great and this is the perfect setting.
This cutting is based on an image from S. Good. I have the full permission to create this art from the image.
A 1/4 inch thick board cut to evoke a globe, backed with handmade paper.
