This image is cut from a 1/4 inch board and then inlay to a second board with handmade paper below it.
When I talk about scroll saw art I often tell about how many voids have been cut into the piece. This project has two cuts, one for the tree and the second for the inlay. Sometimes it is not about “how many: It is about what one did with those cuts.
As with all my work, I used my scroll saw in the construction of the art, no computer guided tools.
This cutting is based on my own design.
