The cedar version sold but the maple version is still available.
This project is a great example of the use of different materials for different effects. The cedar is naturally streaked and brings to mind Southwestern settings. The other is in maple creating a stark black and white. A nice property of wood is the graining and colors within the wood are different. The final product is never the same image.
The other thing about this image is how I alter the source image. The source had the same silhouette pistol in all four corners. I developed a different pistol for each corner. Also, the hand in the foreground was cocked to the side. It did not work for me, so I changed it to this open hand.
This cutting is based on an image from Kihl. I have the full permission to create this art from the image.
This image is cut from a 1/4 inch board with a black paper backer.
