This image is cut from 1/4 inch board over paper.
When I started researching Artemis, I often saw her with her hunting dog: so I added the dog in the foreground. I also learned she is the goddess of the moon. I placed the moon prominently over her right shoulder and added it to her arm and headdress.
And then I saw an article about test firing of booster rockets for the NASA Artemis 2024 mission for a lunar landing and got excited. Hopefully, Artemis will return to pop culture. If it does, I am ready!
This cutting is based on my own design.
As with all of my work, I used my scroll saw in the construction of the art, no computer guided tools were used.
