This image is cut from a 1/4 inch board and is inspired from ‘black works embroidery”.
I was chatting with my daughter-in-law about the challenge of creating images with only voids. She mentioned a style of embroidery which came to the English court via Catherine of Aragon. They were elaborate images with black threads on white cloth.
I searched around and saw a crazy quilt cat and developed my own pattern.
This cutting is based on my own design.
