This image is cut from 1/4 inch board and backed with handmade paper.
I have several Tree of Life images in my collection. The tree is a common allegory for extended families. This image , with the roots encircling the tree, reminds me that my ancestors, long dead and buried, are part of me and the people in my family whom I have known.
As with all my work, I used my scroll saw in the construction of the art, no computer guided tools.
This cutting is based on my own design, though, certainly executed by many other folks.
