Stories about the Alamo are part of every boy’s memory. I grew up outside of NYC but Fess Parker and westerns on TV ensured the Alamo legend lived another generation. Now living in Texas, a couple of years ago, I visited the Alamo. I was surprised by the balanced presentation by the tour guide… But little boy’s dreams die hard. Crockett, Bowie, and Travis are still bigger than life for me. And that’s okay.
This cutting is based on my own design. Some artistic license was taken with this image, but it is largely accurate.
This image is cut from a 1/4 inch board and then dipped in Danish oil.
