Sold – I will recut it but who knows the slab I will find.
A 1 inch thick slab of white oak was used for this image. At 25 inches tall and 16 wide at the base, this is a chunk of wood!
When I look at this image I wonder about what has captured the cowboy’s attention: I imagine he is watching the dying embers of a fire. As the fire wanes, he must be thinking of his life and the freedom of the west slowly dissolves into the night.
Lore has it the cowboy is standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon, peering into the gorge… Who knows what the cowboy sees, or what you see when you gaze at this image.
This cutting is based on a image by J. Popowicz. I have the full permission to create this art from the image.
As with all my work, I used my scroll saw in the construction of the art, no computer guided tools.
Estimated price in as of January 2023 is $150-200, depending on the wood used. Estimated delivery is eight weeks but I would like to meet up so you can review the wood choices.
