Dear All,
Today I received an email from the Denton County Health department. They politely informed me I am number 209,671 in the queue. But Wait! 72,671 have already been served. Next week, they expect to receive 9,750 doses.
Some quick math: There are 137,000 in front of me and 9,750 per week means 14 weeks until I am served.
Some thoughts:
Denton County is doing a stunning job, I believe/hope their doses per week will increased
In Texas, we are encouraged to register to as many county and non-governmental lists as we can manage. So what does 209,671 on a county list really mean? (Denton county is next door to my county.)
14 weeks places me in mid-May. Since the Summer of 2020, I had guessed May 2021 would be the return to normalcy.
What can we really do about Coronavirus? Wear your mask. And place yourself in the path of good fortune. Be polite and patient.
